SC05 - Trauma & Orthopaedics ST3 Interview Course March 2nd 2013 - Sheffield

This course is aimed at Specialty Trainees intending to apply for a Trauma and Orthopaedics Surgery ST3 post in the 2013 Specialty Recruitment round. The course is designed to help you familiarise yourself with the Trauma and Orthopaedics recruitment interview and optimise your performance.
Format of the interview course is designed to be similar to that of the actual interviews. An interview panel consisting of experienced T&O consultants and senior registrars will conduct a 45 minute interview which will be divided into 3 stations: Portfolio, Clinical and Interactive Communication, all 15 minutes each.
You will be given feedback of your performance after each station including feedback on your portfolio with possible areas for improvement. We will also be videoing each session and a few days after the course you will be able to download the video. This will be useful for assessing your performance, body language and answers.
You will also be able to watch the other candidates being interviewed to gain insights into good performance.
This one-day course will include a lecture on portfolio management, body language and communication skills. 
The course is to be held on 2nd March, timed to be before the actual interview dates of 11th - 15th March 2013.
