Advisory Board

Meducatus retains an advisory board comprising senior consultants from various specialties. They review all our course and other materials before publication. Members of the advisory course also teach on relevant courses where appropriate.

The advisory board comprises:-

Mr. Ford Qureshi is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon specialising in upper limb surgery at Doncaster Royal Infirmary and Bassetlaw Hospitals. He also practices privately in Doncaster. His areas of expertise are arthroscopic “keyhole” surgery of the shoulder and elbow, upper limb joint replacement surgery and sports injuries of the upper limb.
 
He qualified in medicine at the Guy´s and St Thomas´ Hospitals where he also undertook his surgical house officer posts. He then completed his basic surgical training at the  Queens Medical Centre and City Hospitals of Nottingham. After several years of specialist surgical training in the south east in 2005 was entered on the the Specialist Register for Orthopaedic Surgery.
 
Mr. Qureshi is involved in clinical research and academic development and has presented his research at orthopaedic conferences held both nationally and internationally.

Mr. Paul Dunning MB ChB FRCS (England) (General)

Mr. Dunning trained at Birmingham Medical School, qualifying in 1986.  His postgraduate training took place in the West Midlands and the North-East, latterly as a Specialist Registrar at the Freeman Hospital, Newcastle.  He was appointed to the Specialist Register in 1998.
 
He was appointed as Consultant Vascular Surgeon to Lincoln County Hospital in 1999.  Since then he has been part of the team at ULHT which provides the vascular service across Lincolnshire.

Mr. Jafaru Abu MBChB MSc FRCOG

Mr Jafaru Abu obtained his primary medical degree at the University of Benin Medical School, Nigeria in 1988 prior to moving to the United Kingdom in 1993.
 
Mr. Abu obtained a Masters Degree in Clinical Sciences from the University of Leicester whilst working as a Specialist Registrar in Obstetrics and Gynaecology . In 2003 he was awarded the Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST) in Obstetrics and Gynaecology by the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He is also accredited as a Subspecialist in Gynaecological Oncology by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. He was appointed a Consultant Gynaecological Surgeon and Subspecialist in Gynaecological Oncology by the Nottingham University Teaching Hospitals in September 2006. 
 

Mr Saeed A Qaimkhani MBBS, FRCS, FRCS (Trauma & Orthopaedics)

Mr. Qaimkhani did his early orthopaedic training in Sheffield followed by spinal fellowship in Birmingham. Mr. Qaimkhani is a Consultant Spinal & Orthopaedic Surgeon with a sub-specialty interest in Spine Surgery. He is competent in non-operative and operative management of degenerative and traumatic spinal pathologies. Apart from general orthopaedic trauma, he also performs lower limb arthroplasty surgery including total hip and total knee replacement surgery. He is also the Specialty Tutor for Orthopaedics & Trauma at Lincoln County Hospital. He is very passionate about the teaching and training of junior doctors.
